As we continue to grow and evolve as a business, so too does the structure of our organisation, and the leaders required to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and the market. It is with great pleasure that we announce the following internal promotions, effective July 1, 2021:
TRAVIS WENDT – HEAD OF PLACEMENT
Travis Wendt has moved into a newly created national role as Honan’s Head of Placement. With more than 14 years of placement experience, Travis’ industry relationships, product knowledge, and market awareness make him the ideal candidate for the role.
“Travis has worked on some of the most complex placements both locally and across the globe. As our previous Head of Corporate, Travis understands the pressures our brokers face and their dedication to our clients, this role is a natural progression for Travis and a critical one for our business.” Andrew Fluitsma - CEO, Honan.
Honan’s dedicated placement team leverages the wider Group portfolio to drive optimal outcomes for clients while providing more options, tailored placement solutions, and real-time market insights and intelligence.
“I'm truly passionate about working with colleagues, partners, and insurers to uncover innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs. Honan has grown significantly over the past few years, and with that comes the opportunity to continue to represent our clients and our brand in the local and overseas market.” Travis Wendt - Head of Placement, Honan.
POPPY FOXTON – HEAD OF CORPORATE INSURANCE & RISK SOLUTIONS (CIRS)
With Travis’ shift to Head of Placement, we were thrilled to promote Poppy Foxton to National Head of CIRS. During her 9 years with Honan, Poppy has progressed from Senior Claims Executive to Team Leader of Claims across all lines of insurance, before being promoted to Head of Claims in 2018.
“Poppy is one of our most experienced leaders. With her deep understanding of the complexities our clients face, Poppy’s track record working with clients is truly exceptional. She has been instrumental in enhancing our best practice framework and is one of the foremost reasons our clients chose to work with us.” Andrew Fluitsma - CEO, Honan.
Reflecting on her decision to take on this new opportunity, Poppy told us:
“My background in claims has taught me the value of a disciplined, proactive, and collaborative approach. At its core, Honan Claims is about problem- solving for clients when the chips are down, and the pressure is high. Working with a client or a team towards an outcome - whether it’s getting a disputed claim covered or developing sophisticated risk analysis to support client decision making - client-centric leadership is key.
As soon as the opportunity was presented to me, I knew I would take it. Over the course of my career, Honan has offered me amazing support to continually push myself. I have never regretted taking any opportunity here, and I am excited to work with such an exceptional team.” Poppy Foxton - National Head of CIRS, Honan.
We look forward to bringing you insights and highlights from Poppy and Travis over the new financial year.
